The size of the prize

A dedicated home battery stores 6–13.5 kWh per unit. A typical EV carries 60–130 kWh, a week of essential household power sitting in your driveway. Bi-directional charging (“V2X”, vehicle-to-everything) lets that energy flow back out of the car.

With a compatible Tesla (Cybertruck leads the way) plus Powerwall and a Wall Connector, Powershare lets the truck backfeed the house through the Tesla ecosystem, automatically, during an outage. One brand, one app, seamless.

Sigenergy SigenStor

The SigenStor stack accepts a DC EV charging module that slots directly into the battery tower: solar, storage and bi-directional DC charging in one unit. (The module occupies one of the six slots, so a V2X stack carries up to five battery packs.) It’s also eligible for the BC Hydro battery rebate.

The honest caveats

Compatibility is vehicle-specific and moving fast: what your exact car supports today may differ from what it supports after a software update. Frequent deep cycling also touches your EV battery’s warranty terms, worth reading.
